The parish of Canillo is set amidst extensive mountain woodland and natural pasture, perfect for excursions and adventure sports of all types including the largest ski station in the Pyrenees: Soldeu-El Tarter. Canillo also has a large number of romanesque churches and chapels, fully contrasted with the modern national sanctuary of Our Lady of Meritxell and other modern facilities such as the Ice Palace and, for the more intrepid, the climbing wall.
